So I go to purchase our plane tickets to go to Ireland and between the time that we received our itinerary and the time the travel agent got back with us… they added nearly $600 to the price… of each ticket! Needless to say… life got a little stressful. I couldn’t find any plane tickets within our budget. Eventually my co-workers jumped in and helped me research flights and it came down to this… Leave on the regular schedule with the group… pay $1600 a ticket. Leave two days earlier… pay $800 a ticket. So…

We’re off to Ireland on WEDNESDAY!!!

We’ll have two days in Dublin on our own. Then we’ll meet the team on Saturday morning at the airport and travel with them to County Roscommon. We’ll stay with them until Wednesday when we fly back home.

We appreciate your prayers as we really want to hear God’s voice and see if this is His open door or not. You can also pray for:

  • Travel. We have multiple planes, multiple layovers. Pray that it all works smoothly.

  • Rest. We’re flying overnight and then have about 8 hours between the time we land and the time we can check in our hotel. Pray that we sleep well on the plane!

  • Unity. Pray that we both hear God clearly and the same thing. Pray that if there are any concerns, we have the same concerns. Pray that if there is any excitement, we have the same excitement.

  • Communication. Pray that we will maintain good communication with each other as we are experiencing Ireland and looking for God’s plan there.

  • OM Ireland. Pray that we are an encouragement and support to them.

  • The rest of the team. There are quite a few people in process of moving to Ireland and partnering there. Pray that the right people would mesh well together and become a solid team, even now.

  • God’s purposes for this trip. We have a plan to go and look into a future there. But we want God’s plans even more than ours. Pray that we would always be sensitive to what it is God wants to do with us while we’re there.

We’ll post when we have internet!
