We are almost done with our visit to Abilene. Part of me is sad, part of me is glad to go back home. June 1st is the closing date on our house and we are very excited about our first house! And it hit 98 for a high yesterday, so thats reason to head back to a humid 85….or maybe not.

Every time we come back we feel like we are at home, another home. It’s not the great restaurants, though they help, and its not the wide open country, though we enjoy it. It’s more about the people.
As we walked into Beltway Church, our Abilene home church and where Laura “grew-up” in her faith, we both sighed “ahhh….this feels like home too.”
Don’t hear that we dont have homes in Wisconsin or Georgia, we just have another one. And we enjoy it very much. I’m sure that if we lived here for a couple years we might become a little jaded and take a “the grass is greener over there” attitude. But then again, maybe not.
We love the people we know here. They are mothers, fathers, little kids, pastors, old friends, young, too young, mid-life, and older. We love them. We love coming “home”…
